Countertops

Cabinets are a great start to a magnificent kitchen, but they’re only a part of the bigger picture. The right countertops help complete the look of your kitchen and provide much-needed working surfaces. We design with most types of countertop materials, including:

Stone

Granite

Along with natural stone’s durability, its beauty and elegance of is unsurpassed by any other material.

  • Granite can withstand heat up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • The porosity of stone varies. But, with minimal care, staining is not an issue.
  • It can be used as a cutting board. But this is not recommended because it will dull your knives. Only carbide, diamond or another piece of granite can scratch your tops.
  • Granite comes in a wide range of colors, to match any décor and compliment any cabinetry.
  • Since granite is a natural product with variation, we recommend viewing the actual slabs to be used in your project prior to installation.

Marble

  • Marble is a crystallized limestone and so can be polished to a mirror-finish, which brings depth in its color and looks gorgeous.
  • When the marble countertop is properly cared for, it can be in the same condition many years later as it was when fabricated.
  • Marble countertops can be found in various colors.
  • Marble countertops are heat-resistant and so will not burn or catch fire –– although the finish of the countertop may catch fire when hot items are placed directly on the surface of the countertop.
  • Since marble countertops are made of natural stone, they are highly resistant to scratches, cracks and breakage.
